Booking an Intensive Driving Course in the Forest of Dean

Every learner’s driving journey is unique—but you wouldn’t know it when you look at the courses some other companies offer. Whether it’s a ‘traditional’ driving school that operates at a snail’s pace, or a newer company offering an inflexible 5 day course, learners are often left with little choice over the way they learn. Not so with PassMeFast.

PassMeFast offers all of its learners choice from the moment they book, starting with the number of lessons they take, and the transmission they drive in. Once booked, you’ll also get to decide the intensity of your course. So, whether you want to condense your lessons into as little as one week or spread things out over a longer period, we can help!

Thought that you had to take your course in a manual car? Think again! If you’d prefer to learn in an auto, we can help you to pass. Choose automatic transmission when you book your course, and we’ll match you up with a local instructor with a suitable vehicle.

With a PassMeFast course comes the PassMeFast team. We'll manage your course from start to finish. We'll also assign one of our DVSA-approved driving instructors to take you for your lessons. With their experience and patient demeanour, they’ll help you gain the skills you need to become a safe and competent driver.

To get a flavour of everything we have to offer, head over to our courses and prices page—or discover which of our packages suits you best by utilising our course recommender. Know which one you want to go for? Great stuff! Just give us a bell on 0333 123 4949 to chat to a member of our team, or book your course online in just minutes.

Practical Driving Test Centres in the Forest of Dean

If you’re preparing to take your practical, you’re likely to have a few questions about it. How long is the driving test, for example? And where should I take it? If you live in the Forest of Dean, there are plenty of possible answers to the latter question. Here in Gloucestershire, you can either head to Gloucester, Cheltenham or Bristol Kingswood, while the Monmouth test centre across the border in Wales is also a convenient option.

Did you know that our courses are designed to give you the best chance of passing. Lessons are scheduled just ahead of your test, keeping learning fresh.

Theory Test Centres in the Forest of Dean

Maybe we’re rushing ahead, and you’ve still got the theory test to get out of the way first. If that’s the case, then the nearest theory test centres to the Forest of Dean include Bristol, Hereford, Gloucester and Cheltenham. Before you head into your test, be sure to check out some of the many theory test articles on the PassMeFast Blog, such as our guide to the traffic light sequence.

PassMeTheory is an online theory revision session, where we go over the most difficult areas of the test. 9 out of 10 people said they felt more confident about their test after their session.

Haven't taken your theory test yet?

One of the most pervasive theory test myths states that you can skate by with common sense on the big day. Unfortunately, this has led to plenty of learners not taking the theory test seriously enough—and failing. Our tip? Get your theory test booked well in advance! That way, you’ve got plenty of time to account for any potential slip-ups. Better yet, add the theory test onto your PassMeFast booking, and we’ll arrange it for you!

Driving Around the Forest of Dean

Taking your lessons in a rural area like the Forest of Dean throws up different challenges for a driver compared to those faced by learners in towns and cities. From A roads carrying the national speed limit through to single-track country lanes, you’ll soon become adept at dealing with a wide variety of different conditions while driving.

However, as the Forest of Dean doesn’t have its own test centre, you’ll need to gain yet another layer of driving skills as you head towards a nearby town or city to take your test. Don’t worry, though: your instructor will make sure that your lessons take in busier areas, too, to prepare you for the conditions you’ll be facing on test day.
